WHY are male shirts buttoned up on a different side to womens????!
Please relieve my confusion and emotional disturbance...

I've asked the Mrs that question several times. Has something to do with the 'Wiles of Womanhood' or some nonesense like that.
ReplyDeleteActually ... tradition has it that women's shirts/dresses/other garments have buttons on the left because a fashionable lady had a servant to do up her buttons for her. The servant stood in front of her, and thus the buttons were on the right to her, and supposedly easier to do up.
